This 2.2km tunnel in Kuwait is part of a $1.6 billion pipeline which is the longest and largest tunnel built in the Arabian Gulf, and is one of the largest pipe-jacked sea outfall pipelines in the world.
Using photo-real software to create 3D animation the brief was to visually communicate the construction process of this Kuwait based pipeline. Planning for the animation started with creating a storyboard of the construction process from the client’s supplied script. Then visual reference was taken from using various engineering CAD drawings and a plentiful supply of reference photography.
